Jeff Brown, Sales Professional.
Jeff has been in some form of sales and customer service for more than 40 years. If you ask Jeff’s Mom, she would tell you that he has been negotiating before he could talk. Besides working for companies like Sears Roebuck, he has owned his own businesses.
In addition to sales, music has been a big part of his life. He has had the opportunity to combine the two in various aspects of his career. He is a licensed broadcaster and has had radio shows in Texas and Wisconsin. He also started Freedom Productions in 1990, managing bands and solo artists and soon found himself the front man and lead singer for a popular Midwest classic rock band. He started using his connections in that industry to form charity events for Shriners Hospital, United Cerebral Palsy, and the Council for the Blind. He has also organized events for families that lost their homes to floods or fire.
Writing, recording, and performing became his passion, but touring started to take its toll, and he decided to work for the family business, American Packaging & Sales, as a purchasing agent and eventually general manager. In 2000, he started his own company, United Packaging Materials which he owned and operated for the next 14 years. After 10 years in Phoenix and 3 years in Los Angeles, he began to dislike the big city rat race. Missing the small-town life he had grown to love while in Wisconsin, but no longer able to tolerate the harsh weather, he moved to Missoula in 2009. He became tired of the packaging world and began to search for something more meaningful to do with his time. This led him to Cedar Mountain Software and their PantrySoft division, which offers a program written to simplify the job of running a food pantry.
